Community Action
Stronger individuals create stronger families, which equates to stronger neighborhoods. The Northeast Florida Community Action Agency is committed to making a difference in the community - so we actively support volunteer services, crime watch, neighborhood beautification and cleanup programs and other various community activities and initiatives.
Among others, here are some of the projects in which we have provided a helping hand:
- Springfield Beautification in Jacksonville – Volunteers and youth participants regularly pitch in to maintain and beautify the Springfield area in Duval County through landscaping, picking up garbage and monitoring the location.
- Faith Park in Baldwin, FL - Youth in Action teams from Baker and Duval counties transformed a previously littered and unkempt area of Baldwin into a community park now known as “Faith Park.” For more information on this project, Click Here.
- Hurricane Preparedness/Emergency Disaster Kits – Youth in Action teams and client volunteers in all northeast Florida counties regularly assemble and distribute emergency disaster kits for low-income individuals and families, senior citizens and the disabled population in order to provide better safety and preparation in case of man-made and natural disasters.
