Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSSP)
We believe self-sufficiency begins with empowerment and education. By offering people the training they need to succeed in the workplace, we give them a chance to succeed in life. By introducing the fundamentals of financial management and opportunities to continue their education through our Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSSP), we help families overcome poverty and maintain gainful employment.
FSSP gives people the necessary skills they need to succeed. From GED training to assistance in finding a job, we are here to help throughout every stage of the process. Through FSSP we provide:
Employment
- Employment skills training
- Job placement
- Job search assistance
- Job Fairs
Education
- Literacy (ABE/GED training)
- Vocational education assistance
- Post-secondary education through partnership with FCCJ
Asset Building
- Financial literacy training
- Earned income tax credit
- Free tax preparation
- Individual Development Account (IDA)
These services are available for clients enrolled in the FSSP program only.
